I am happy to announce that Sophie has been adopted!! Sophie’s adoption day was bittersweet. Sophie was part of our family for nearly four months, and now she has finally found her forever family where she will be the princess she has always deserved to be!
Sophie came to me as an abandoned very pregnant kitty! Sophie and I got to know each other as we waited three more weeks until she delivered her six beautiful kittens. I watched Sophie be the supermom that we all knew she had in her. Day and night she fed, cleaned, and wrapped her babies in loving warmth. Sophie fought through her illness to be able to feed her babies again. I was honored to help feed this loving mother’s babies, and she trusted my help.
Sophie never showed resentment, bitterness, or distrust to me even though people in her past neglected and abandoned this sweet and precious girl. Sophie recognized the good in people from day one. She is sweet, patient, and gentle. Sophie is equally tough, headstrong, and resilient. Sophie has been an inspiration to me, and a piece of my heart went with Sophie they day she left to live her beautiful life!
Sophie and all six of her kittens have been adopted into safe and loving homes! Thanks to one person’s act of kindness to rescue a very malnourished and very pregnant cat! This one act saved seven lives!
