Hi! My name is Dayna. Thank you for stopping by to visit Tabs and Tidbits. I started this blog after years of reading so many other blogs, and I was inspired to start a blog as well. The blogging community can be such a warm and inviting place to be, and I hope to make all of you feel just the same.
You will only find vegetarian friendly recipes on a Tabs and Tidbits. I have been a vegetarian for several years, so the recipes I prepare are plant and dairy based. Becoming a vegetarian was a personal choice for me, and I do not put my choice as an opinion towards anyone who is not. Oddly enough, many recipes that inspire me are not vegetarian. I just alter the recipes to be vegetarian. I have always appreciated when cooks gave a side note on how to make a dish vegetarian, so I will do the same for those that eat meat. Feel free to put in the protein of your choice. I will not judge, for I appreciate you trying my recipe posts and making them to suit you tastebuds.
I enjoy cooking from my kitchen and trying out new recipes versus going out to eat (most of the time). Many of the recipes I share are inspired from others as well little recipe discoveries within our own kitchen. My husband does not cook much, but he always seem to come up with some of the most tasty recipes. Since he is not cooking most of the time, he has been a trooper when there have been many recipe fails. He never complains. Rest assured, I will not share the recipe fails, but I will share the recipes that we enjoy with you. In Tabs and Tidbits, I will share healthy and not so healthy recipes.
The Tabs part of my blog revolves around the Tabby cats that I have had in my life. I was raised in a home that ALWAYS included pets. Dogs, cats, birds, etc. Tabby cats were always in the mix. My family nor do I today purposely look to have just Tabby cats, but they have always been the constant with me. The Tabby that started this blog with me was Cooper. Some of you got to know Cooper and his colorful medical history. Although Cooper is no longer with us, the blog continues in memory of Cooper.
Thank you for visiting Tabs and Tidbits. I hope you will enjoy the recipes I share with you along with the cat life that we share along the way!
