If you can get your hands on fresh figs, you are in for a treat. These delicious fruits can look a little peculiar. Some of the people I have met that have not had fresh figs are not inclined to try them. Maybe it is their appearance, but as the saying goes, “don’t judge a book by its cover.”
Once you take a bite into these fruits, you are in for a delicious surprise. Slice them up and add mascarpone cheese, and you now have an amazingly delicious and elegant appetizer.
My Mom gave me some fresh figs from her fig tree. She told me about adding mascarpone cheese on top with nuts and honey. I took them home and immediately made these delicious Fig and Mascarpone Bites.
