Feline Friday #19 – Fiona

Fiona

I never have favorites when it comes to fosters. They are all my favorite! However, there are some fosters that leave a lasting impression on me. Fiona is one of those foster kittens. She did not have any health scares. She was not timid. She was easy to feed. Fiona was just that kitten that lit up a room with her sheer presence.

This fluffy kitten came to me when she was around 2 1/2 to 3 weeks of age. All I knew about her background was someone found Fiona near a school. They looked for the mother cat to no avail. The assumption was the mother cat dropped Fiona while moving to another location. Either way, her rescuers bottle feed her overnight until I was able to bring her home with me. Her rescuers had one request. Please send them updates. They wanted to keep up with how she was doing, and I happily agreed.

Fiona

Fiona was a hodgepodge mixture of a tortie, tabby, calico, & the list goes on. From different angles, Fiona took on a different fur patterns. This girl was as sweet as she was unique. Regardless of the types of cat she appeared to be, Fiona was an absolute joy! This girl was smart and savvy. She ate well. She slept well. Very little alarmed her. Fiona amazed me on how quickly she adapted to new environments. She loved any visit she could get from Ranger & Marmalade. Fiona was a big girl in a tiny kitten body.

So, when Fiona was big enough. I allowed her to play with Ranger and Marmalade. Since she was a single bottle kitten, exposure to other cats gave her lessons that only cats can teach. Fiona never had an ounce of fear or hesitation with either Ranger or Marmalade. She always challenged them to a good play session, and they happily took Fiona up on her offers!

Fiona

Fiona grew up quickly. Too quickly for my heart. Over the weeks that I had Fiona, I sent videos and photos to her rescuers. When the time came for sweet Fiona to find her forever family, it did not take long for Fiona to get the amazing and loving family she deserved. Her rescuers, the family that saved her and kept up with her progress, came back for Fiona. Only this time, they would adopt her as a forever loved family member! Fiona is loved unconditionally, and I could not be more thrilled for her and her family!

Thank you to the kind people that rescued Fiona. I am honored to foster this precious life.
