Cooper In November

Cooper in November

Today I am taking a look back at Cooper in November. We have a surprise video at the end of this post that wraps up the theme of Cooper’s November!

Instead of the standard week by week life of Cooper, we are changing things around to activity highlights for Cooper.

The Vet

Cooper had a few vet check-ups in November. These were not bad or anxiety-driven vet appointments, but rather check-ups and managing medical conditions that Cooper lives with. Cooper’s kidneys need regular monitoring along with his blood pressure, but lately, we have been working hard to get Cooper’s pancreas back on track. He was prescribed a medication to help with inflammation. Cooper’s symptoms did not get worse but they still did not improve. Fortunately, Cooper did not continue to lose weight and his renal values were good. His blood pressure (which was too high on his previous check-up) was back down to a healthy number. The last appointment that Cooper had, he was prescribed B-12 injections, and we will check back in December for more lab work, weight, blood pressure, etc…

Here is Cooper’s expression when we pull into the parking lot at the vet for his appointment!

Decorating for Christmas

Christmas is one of Cooper’s favorite holidays! We started decorating during Thanksgiving week, and Cooper was a great supervisor! He loves when we put up the tree. When Cooper was a kitten, my husband bought these little, soft stuffed animal ornaments to hang on the tree. We hang them low because you can imagine what happens to a tree when you hang dangling stuffed animals near the top of the tree! Cooper has knocked over a few Christmas trees back in the day!  Those pretty and breakable ornaments get a special place on the mantel. Instead, we keep the tree cat-friendly. The holiday wrapping paper and tissue paper sprawled out all over the floor is Cooper’s playground. Every present that we put under the tree, usually ends up with cat hair and claw punctures on the wrapping paper! But that is what makes this season even more special!

To give you a peek into Cooper during the holidays, I am happy to share this video to wrap up Cooper in November! I hope you enjoy!
