Now What
I have already heard the laughter from some when I have mentioned the weights of our cats. I get it. Weights ranging from 8 to 13 pounds are not heavy. Our cat Cooper was nearly 20 pounds at his heaviest. Yes. He was overweight, but he was a larger cat in general. All of the 5 tabbies are generally small to medium-sized cats.
So, I have some work to do. The cats are not going to just jump on the treadmill for some extra cardio. Although I am eyeing that cat wheel! It’s up to me to find creative ways to encourage more exercise, or as they see it, playtime! All of our cats are strictly indoor only, and that does add to the challenge since indoor cats have a tendency to put on the pounds. The tabbies happiness and health is priority. So, for all they know, they just get to play a whole lot more. Over the course of the Tabbies Weight Check Series, I will share the ups and downs along with what is working and what is not working for the tabbies. This series is taking on a serious matter, pet obesity, and giving it a fun twist.
Be sure to follow Tabs & Tidbits on Facebook and Instagram. We will be sharing weekly updates of their playtimes and the toys that are favorites of the tabbies.
