Feline Friday #7

I have a precious new foster kitty to share with you! Her name is Sophie. She is less than  one year old and is one of the sweetest cats. It is unfathomable that someone abandoned this sweet girl to fend for herself. She is safe now thanks to a compassionate woman that found Sophie and took her straight to the vet for help. Sophie was malnourished, hungry, and pregnant!

Sophie was found in a restaurant parking lot by a woman that saw how much help this kitty needed. She stopped what she was doing and picked up Sophie taking her straight to her vet. Sophie received treatment along with a thorough evaluation on the status of her pregnancy. She obviously was in need a food, but otherwise received a clean bill of health along with a healthy pregnancy. MomaKat Rescue was contacted and agreed to take in Sophie. That is how I came to know Sophie.  Sophie’s rescuer’s act of kindness is the reason why Sophie can now have a warm bed and plenty of food and water along with her soon to be born 5 kittens.

Without a doubt Sophie is a survivor. Her hair was thinning and with the exception of a pregnant belly, Sophie was grossly underweight.  However, by all accounts, her kittens have developed on a healthy schedule. Sophie made sure her kittens were taken care of even if she was not being taken care of herself. That all changed when Sophie asked for help to the right person.

In spite of being uncomfortable with 5 kittens, Sophie purrs and shows so much appreciation for a warm and safe place with all the food she wants and needs.

Thanks to the act of kindness by one woman, it put Sophie into the care of MomaKat Rescue. Sophie will never have to fend for her life again, and her kittens will receive the same unconditional love that we will give Sophie.
