Cinnamon Buns are a weakness of mine. There is something about the flavors of cinnamon and sugar wrapped with sweet bread and butter and topped with a delicious and sweet glaze! As good as that tastes, I try to make cinnamon buns an occasional treat. I decided that I will just have a cinnamon bun in smoothie form minus the overload in sugar and butter.
There is no butter or sweet glaze with this Cinnamon Bun Smoothie. There is a banana to give a natural sweetness and the creaminess to this smoothie. That is it for the sweet part. No added sugar. Of course, there is cinnamon!
I always have unsweetened vanilla almond milk in my refrigerator. If you only have plain almond milk, you can add 1/4 t pure vanilla extract to the ingredients. The vanilla flavor is a great feature in this smoothie. If you are not a fan of almond milk, feel free to use the milk of you choice.
Cinnamon Bun Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana presliced
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 t ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Put all of the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth.
