Brown Butter Green Beans with Almonds
Green beans coated with nutty and rich brown butter and sliced almonds to add more delicious texture!
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh green beans cleaned and trimmed
- 3 T butter
- 3 T sliced almonds
- salt
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water. Bring the water to a boil and add the green beans. Cook until tender but still bright green. Drain the water from the beans and set aside.
- In a small pot, add the butter and heat over medium heat. Allow the butter to cook and get foamy on top. Continue to stir with a whisk until the butter becomes a dark golden color. Reduce the heat to low and add the almonds and stir.
- Pour the brown butter and almonds over the green beans and toss to coat the green beans. Add salt to taste.
- Serve & enjoy!
