This is the first post of a monthly series about my favorite items! I love to learn about new things or even oldies but goodies by others, so I figured why not share with you all some of my favorite things! My favorites series are not sponsored. These are things that are always purchased and used by me. I just happen to like all of the items listed below!
In The Kitchen
These Gourmet Garden lightly dried herbs are my new kitchen’s best friend! I cannot count the amount o fresh herbs I have thrown away since I did not use enough before they went bad. Forget trying to grow fresh herbs with cats in the house! I love these lightly dried herbs because they last for 4 weeks once opened, and they deliver on the fresh flavor of herbs! I found mine in the produce section at Walmart.
Elli Quark is a delicious low sugar and high protein German-style “yogurt”! I love Greek yogurt, but quark is creamier and less sour! Yes, please!! I have been enjoying Elli Quark for an afternoon snack, and I am loving it. So, far I am loving the strawberry and mixed berry flavors! Did I mention they have a flaror called brownie batter! I have found Elli Quark in the yogurt sections at Publix.
I can’t get enough of the Smartfood Jalapeno Ranch Popcorn! My husband and I both snack on the spicy and flavorful snack. The good thing for me is the spiciness adds up, so I don’t end up easting the entire bag in one sitting! I get my bags at my local Walmart.
Avocado Oil has been making an appearance in my kitchen lately. I have been using it in place of olive oil since it provides a higher smoke point than olive oil. It does not taste like avocados, but it does give a light but not overpowering delicious flavor! I have read that some people use avocado oil for their skin and hair too!
Beauty
CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser was recommended by my dermatologist. This facial cleanser is amazing. It removes all of my makeup and leaves no residue! It does not irritate my skin nor does it dry out my skin. My face does not need a toner. It is clean and ready for my sunscreen and moisturizer!
This Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash is my go-to body wash! It is lightly scented and not overpowering. My skin feels clean and not stripped of moisture! I Have sensitive skin, and this body wash never caused any irritation! I save a few extra dollars by adding this body wash to my Subscribe & Save monthly delivery!
For the Cats
This Ultimate Scratching Post is the best invention! I discovered this gem once I started fostering. Ranger & Marmalade use this scratching post daily. It’s still going strong after 8 months of daily use. The base is sturdy and keeps the post from tipping over!
The Colorful Springs Cat Toy is a favorite with Ranger and all of my foster kitties! The cats love these simple and colorful springs. I love them too! These toys are not noisy! One warning though. These springs will end up under your furniture. Be prepared to fish these toys out from under your bed, or just get more than 1 pack when you get them!
We call this The Banana! This Yellow Banana Catnip Toy is one the most popular toys with Marmalade & our foster cats. The material is heavy duty, so it can withstand the biting, scratching, and tossing around! I keep The Banana on my monthly shopping list since my kitties love this so much!
The Bergan Turbo Cat Scratcher is another toy I discovered once I started fostering. It is easy to clean. The cardboard center is reversible and affordable to purchase replacements. The ball provides endless fun for Ranger, Marmalade, and our foster kitties. You can even purchase another ball that has a light that blinks when it is moved! Ranger loves the blinking ball! I have noticed younger cats enjoy this toy the most, but some of the adult cats turn into kittens again once they start playing with this toy!
BONUS!
Ibotta App
Many of you may already know about the Ibotta App, but if you have not heard of or tried this app, I just wanted to share how happy I am with getting money back. I use this app every time I shop. All I have to do is find my offers, shop, scan my receipt in order to redeem my offers. Once I build up $20.00 in my Ibotta account, I can transfer the funds to my PayPal account! I like to describe the app as a quicker way to clip coupons! By the way, Ibotta is free!
