Marmalade is my current foster. She is often called “the perfect cat”, and I can see why. Marmalade is the first foster cat that I have been comfortable being around Ranger. She is sweet, playful, gentle, and a simple joy to be around.
So, how does the perfect cat wind up in foster care? Well, because there are people that do not care to take responsibility or appreciate Marmalade’s unconditional love. She just needs what any cat needs. Love, food, shelter, health care, TLC.
Marmalade was dropped off in a cardboard box at the front door of veterinary clinic sometime while it was closed. The staff brought her inside and discovered she was 4-6 months old and pregnant! An employee that fosters cats took her home where she delivered her kittens that same night! She was such a caring mother to her kittens, even though Marmalade was still a kitten too! Once her kittens were old enough to be adopted, MomaKat Rescue found families for each one. They also took in Marmalade and made sure she was spayed and cared for as she should have always been!
Marmalade is now around 8 months old. She is a complete joy and is wonderful with other cats and kittens. As a matter of fact, she would do better with a family and home with another cat. Even though she looks fully grown, she still has her kitten-like playfulness but has the cat wisdom and maturity that felines are known for.
MomaKat Rescue is currently looking for a family that is deserving of Marmalade, for she will provide unconditional love and joy to her forever family! While Marmalade waits for her family, Ranger and I are honored to have “the perfect cat” with us!
