This is Maxine. The love in her eyes runs deep. She gives unconditional love even though she has been attacked by an animal (we don’t know what kind) and thrown from a car to fend for herself. Maxine found her way to a woman’s house that gave her shelter, food, and tended to her bite wounds around her neck. This heroic woman just so happens to work with MomaKat Rescue. They have taken Maxine under their wings and are currently looking for Maxine a home and family that will protect her and never let her down. She is around 1 to 2 years old, completely vetted, and spayed. The only thing missing for Maxine is her forever family.
Maxine’s foster (the woman that took her in from the beginning) had to go out of town, so I had the honor to take care of Maxine for a short while.
Maxine is completely trusting of people that show her kindness. She will literally hold your hand and rest her head on you!
Pets and other animals are something that Maxine will need time to build her trust. I can’t blame her, considering the bite marks that were all around her neck. Although the marks are healing, it will take some TLC and time for Maxine to trust another animal.
We do not know the person or people that let Maxine down and put her in harm’s way, or why they would let this gentle and loving cat down. However, Maxine has a fresh start and MamaKat Rescue will make sure Maxine will have the family she deserves and receives unconditional love in return! I am honored to have played a small part in helping Maxine!
