Slow Cooker Smoked Gouda Grits
Smoky gouda stone ground grits made in a slow cooker.

- 1 1/2 cups stone ground grits washed and rinsed (do not use instant or quick cook grits)
- 6 cups vegetable broth or chicken broth
- 1/2 t onion powder
- 1/2 t garlic powder
- 2 cups grated smoked gouda cheese
- salt to taste
Combine the grits, broth, onion powder, garlic powder in a slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.
Once the grits are ready, add the gouda cheese and salt if needed. Stir to combine.
Enjoy as is, or add you favorite toppings.
